When all the interviews and research has been completed, our writers will then create the complete biography. It is a lengthy process that requires time and commitment from the writer and the subject alike.

The end result is a book (trade paperback format) up to 300 pages and with up to 50 photographs.

However, before the book is complete, the life lists, time line, and structured interviews are all valuable individually.

As work on the biography moves ahead, all progress is posted on a private web page so that there is no waiting to see what the writer has completed.

The fee for a commissioned biography can vary  based on what work is required. A completed book requires many hours at a minimum hourly rate of $75 plus additional expenses as required (travel, research book purchase, paid database searches, etc.). Of course we will discuss additional expenses before they are incurred.

Such biographies can take months to complete and often require research such as reviewing relevant historical facts through books and archives and interviews with individuals important to the biography's subject.

A completed but unpublished memoir may require extensive editing in order to make it a more enjoyable. We welcome such editing assignments.

Many people would like to write their own memoirs but do not know how to approach such an effort. We have a prepared presentation that gives attendees the specifics on how to write one’s memoirs. It’s a fun and very informative session that lasts about two hours.

We can ghost write for you if you wish to have your own “by line” for the biography, autobiography, or other writing assignment. Our writers can deftly handle any writing assignment from an autobiography to a full-length novel.

A complete biography is not the only option. The life lists, time line, and structured interviews are all valuable individually.

Full payment is not required in advance, only a modest deposit to commence work. A typical payment arrangement is to pay twice monthly and then pay the final amount only when the finished book is ready for publication.

If the biography is for a family member, consider getting together with other family to share the fee.

Fees are not refundable.

In most cases, the client owns complete copyrights to the finished work and any work in process including notes, drafts, and audio recordings.
